Every Dhaga Craftswoman is part of ProjectLove’s  (www.projectlovepk.com), uplift project in Katti Pahari and Khamosh colony. Each family also receives monthly rations, and for those who require it, help with school fees for their children

Ama Ka Dupata

Yeh kahani hai nani aur dadi ke dupaton ki,
Mohabbat se bhari, narm mulaim yaadon ki,
Poonchhe kitne hi aansoo, baante kitne hi gham,
Tapti hui bhatti pe ki haathon ki hifazat,
Jaise mohabbat ka aks ho, har roz naya.

Un dupaton ne sametein gulab ki kaliyan,
Matar ke daane, khwab aur ghar ka sukoon,
Yeh dupatte the, jazbaat the, sirf kapde nahi,
Nani aur dadi ki khushboo se mehkte,
Har sooti dhaage mein ek kahani sunate.

Sard raaton mein, garm ehsaas dilate,
Garm raaton mein, machhron se bachate,
Mohabbat ki bheeni bheeni chhaon mein,
Rang o reshmi ki lehrati fiza mein,
Yeh dupatte ghar ki yaad dilate, har pal saath chalte.

Un dupaton mein basi, nani aur dadi ki khushboo,
Woh chilman ki chhaon, woh bachpan ki yaadein,
Dupatte nahi, mohabbat ki ek kadi the,
Maazi se jude hamare wajood ka hissa the
Dilon mein hamesha ke liye basne ko bane the.
